The measure involves the mobilisation of up to 22 snowploughs equipped with de-icer spreaders and up to 34 people, according to the alert level.
In view of the snow forecast by the State Meteorology Agency (AEMET) and the Emergency Assistance and Meteorology Department of the Basque Government (EUSKALMET), abertis autopistas, as is usual in these situations, has implemented its emergency protocol aimed at facilitating mobility and traffic safety on the AP-68 toll road.
The measure implemented by abertis autopistas for the AP-68 involves the mobilisation of up to 22 snowploughs and/or salt spreaders, distributed throughout the 5 winter road maintenance stations that abertis autopistas has in its toll road network in the Basque Country, Navarra, La Rioja and Aragon.
13 tanks of solid de-icer have also been prepared, containing a total of 3,710 tonnes of salt, and 8 tanks of liquid de-icer, with a total of 990,000 litres of brine. The measure includes the mobilisation of up to 34 people, depending on the alert level.
