abertis logística is actively participating in the 9^th Salón Internacional de la Logística y la Manutención (SIL. International Logistics and Maintenance Exhibition), held from 5 to 8 June 2006 in Barcelona. The company, which will be at the show as an exhibitor and as main sponsor, will be presenting its innovations and projects carried out during 2006, a year in which it make great strides in its internationalisation process, with the announcement of new projects in Portugal and Chile.

In the case of Portugal, in 2006 the company announced agreement with the country’s government to, and as part of the Portugal Logístico plan, build and operate a logistics park on a 100-hectare site in the town of Vila Franca de Xira. ‘abertis park lisboa’ will be sited in a strategic enclave, 25 km to the north-east of Lisbon on the A1 (Lisbon-Porto) motorway, on the banks of the River. It will also stand two kilometres from the new bridge over the River Tajo that connects with the A13 (Lisbon-Southern Portugal) motorway.

In Chile, abertis logística recently announced an agreement with the ENEA Business Park, in the Santiago de Chile Metropolitan Region, for the acquisition of a 63.3-hectare plot in which it will implement the ‘abertis park santiago’ logistics park. The new infrastructure is noteworthy for its strategic location in the Pudahuel Comuna –in the Poniente Norte area– in the communications node that is made up of the access routes to the ports of Valparaíso (Ruta 68) and San Antonio (Ruta 78), the Costanera Norte and Américo Vespucio urban motorways and the entrance axis to Santiago de Chile International Airport.
