Autopistas unveils new toll station lanes exclusively for Teletac users
10 FEBRUARY SEES THE UNVEILING OF NEW CENTRAL TOLL STATION LANES FOR THE EXCLUSIVE USE OF TELETAC USERS.
From today, Acesa’s motorways will gradually be increasing the number of lanes exclusively for users of the Teletac teletoll system, now in the centre part of toll stations. These lanes, which will progressively replace those which had until now been used by both Teletac and credit/debit card users, will permit smoother-flowing traffic at toll points and will not affect those preferring to pay by card or in cash, who will continue to be able to use the lanes set aside for these payment methods.
To avoid driver confusion, Acesa will provide information on the motorway itself (via the variable message panels) and, on the relevant lanes at the toll stations themselves, with illuminated signs reading Reservado Teletac (Reserved for Teletac).
These new exclusive Teletac lanes will have a Teletac reader at the lane entry point, thus making passage through them faster.
The progressive broadening of the Teletac payment system on Acesa’s routes will bring about practical improvements for motorway users, who will benefit from greater convenience and speed, and also technological improvements, in line with toll route management systems in countries such as France, Italy and Portugal, which boast a much higher percentage of Teletac users than is the case in Spain.
This progressive broadening of exclusive Teletac lanes will be accompanied by new signposting.
