He replaces Pierre Chassigneux, who has held the post since 2003
The Board of Directors of sanef, abertis' French subsidiary, today gave the green light to the appointment of Alain Minc as the company's new President, replacing Pierre Chassigneux who is retiring after holding the post since 2003.
Alain Minc (Paris, 1949) graduated in Civil Engineering from the École des Mines in Paris and also studied at the École National d'Administration (ENA). The other positions he has held include Finance Director of the Saint-Gobain industrial group, Vice-President of Compagnie Industriali Riunite International and General Manager of Cerus. From 1994 to 2008 he was also President of the Supervisory Board of Le Monde newspaper. In 1991 he founded his own consultancy company, AM Conseil. He is also currently a Director of Caixabank and Prisa.
Pierre Chassigneux, born in 1941, graduated from the Institut d'Études Politiques in Paris, has a degree in Law and is a former student of the ENA. He was Cabinet Director of the President of the Republic, François Mitterrand, from 1992 to 1995. He then became President of the Association Technique de l'Importation Charbonnière. In 2001 he was made President of Aéroports de París until his appointment, in 2003, as President of sanef.
