In its different business areas, abertis is present in 14 countries over Europe and America: Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, France, Ireland, Jamaica, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Spain, Sweden, the UK and the US.

Tollroads

abertis directly manages more than 7,000 kilometres of tollroads and is the world leader in this sector.

The Group is the largest tollroad operator in countries such as Spain and Chile, and it is in the third position in Europe. Furthermore, it has a significant presence in Brazil and Puerto Rico.  

Telecommunications

abertis telecom has taken its place as the leading group in the terrestrial telecommunications infraestructures and services sector in Spain and as a benchmark international operator in the satellite transmission sector, with major holding in Hispasat (40.6%).

abertis telecom has the leading network of sites for the distribution and broadcast of radio and TV signals in Spain: over 3,200 points throughout the country, allowing it to provide sound and vision to over 12 million homes.

abertis telecom also facilitates the incorporation of new services to the DTT environment, like the High Definition emission tests.The company contributes to innovation through the developement of Smart Cities solutions, too.

Airports

abertis airports has established itself in the airport infrastructures sector, being present in 25 airports over Europe, the US and Latin America, with a global traffic of more than 85 million passengers per year.

Via tbi, abertis airports manages an international network of four airports in Europe and the US. It also has management agreements with governments or local authorities in five more US airports.

Since 2007, abertis controls desarrollo de concesiones aeroportuarias (dca), holding with shares in 15 airports in Mexico, Jamaica, Chile and Colombia.

In Colombia, abertis airports also manages, through the company Codad, the two runways at the El Dorado airport in Bogota.
