Today, abertis autopistas and Áreas opened the refurbished La Selva service area (Girona), located on the AP-7 tollroad towards Barcelona. With a Burger King restaurant, an Il Caffè di Roma cafeteria and The Market retail outlet, the refurbished service area offers clients more food and beverage options. This is the second establishment opened using this new commercial formula, the first of its kind for Spanish tollroads, after the opening of the Vallès service area (Barcelona) in May 2011, where visits have doubled since its refurbishment.
Every day, a total 50,846 vehicles stop at the La Selva service area. The facilities cover 680 square metres. The refurbishment focused on building customer loyalty and offering personalised attention, promoting direct customer care and adapting the spaces so as to maximise service and sales.
The opening of this service area is another step in the strategy of abertis autopistas and Áreas to adapt its service areas to the needs of different tollroad customers. With this in mind, abertis autopistas and Áreas is offering a pioneering formula to provide service that is tailor made to different kinds of travellers, be they professionals or private individuals, giving priority to quality of service and adapting to customers' needs.
