The measure involves a total of 52 snowploughs, 10 light intervention vehicles, 15 backhoe loaders, 11 motor-graders and plans for the mobilisation of around 270 people, according to the alert level.
In view of the snow forecast by the Meteorological Service of Catalonia and the State Meteorology Agency (AEMET), abertis autopistas, as is usual in these situations, has implemented its emergency protocol aimed at facilitating mobility and traffic safety on the AP-7, AP-2, C-32 and C-33 toll roads.
The measure implemented by abertis autopistas to deal with the snowfalls on these networks involves a total of 52 snowploughs and/or salt spreaders, 10 light intervention vehicles, 15 backhoe loaders and 11 motor-graders, as well as 7 tow trucks for moving heavy vehicles, all of them distributed throughout the 27 winter road maintenance stations that abertis autopistas has in its network covering Catalonia, Aragon and the Valencia Region.
abertis autopistas also has tanks of solid de-icer containing a total of 8,865 tonnes of salt. The measure involves the mobilisation of around 270 people, according to the alert level.
