abertis has entered the Eco10, a securities index comprising ten companies created by the business newspaper El Economista.
El Eco10, calculated every day by Dow Jones Stoxx, is based on the recommendations of 52 investment firms who review their portfolios every quarter and put forward their recommended changes.
Besides abertis, the last review also saw Tecnicas Reunidas, Grifols and Viscofan enter the Eco10. According to the publication, all the companies in the index are outperforming the rest of the market, partly on account of the industries in which they operate.
In the case of abertis, the investment firms also gave value to the company's continued revenues, describing it as "a defensive investment offering a good return of 4.5% to shareholders ", El Economista said. The asset management firm Agenbolsa said abertis "has been unjustly punished on the stock market", adding that "the concessions industry is one of industries exhibiting the most strength".
The other companies in Eco10 are BBVA, Enagas, Iberdrola, Repsol, Santander and Telefonica.
