ONA PISTA is the new radio service launched on 18 June by the station Ona Música and Acesa, the motorway and mobility-related services company, across the station’s frequencies throughout Catalonia. This pioneering service marks a break from established radio programming and covers a gap which has, until now, remained unfilled.

The goal is to provide programming which is fundamentally music-oriented, but which also offers content that is both useful and of public interest. This new look to the contents of ONA MUSICA has been designed for both the station’s current listeners and users of Catalonia’s motorway and road network, as well as those planning to use their vehicle in the near future.

News, traffic updates, weather reports, services, holiday and cultural ideas and, above all, great music. These are the new contents with which ONA MUSICA is embarking upon an innovative formula of music and services which breaks the mould of current market-leading radio formats. The incorporation of the ONA PISTA service, to be provided from the Acesa Operations Centre’s radio facilities, aims to provide a response to the needs, habits and trends of those drivers who faithfully tune into the radio station, acting both as a source of information and a broadcaster of music.

With ONA PISTA, Acesa has found a way of broadening its attention and information service for users of its motorways in particular and the road network in general. Similar formulas have been shown to be of great use in neighbouring countries such as France in Italy, providing real-time information on the traffic situation.
