saba acquires its first car park in Palma de Mallorca

  • The car park is located in Plaça de Porta Sant Antoni, in the old part of the city, and is the first car park to be acquired by Saba in the Balearic Islands.
  • Immediately next to the car park are 300 new homes and 5,000 m2 of space for use as shops, restaurants and offices, as well as the new court buildings.

saba, the car parks subsidiary of Grupo abertis, has signed a contract with S'Estel Nou Palma, SL to acquire a car park in Palma de Mallorca, located in Plaça Porta Sant Antoni, in the Sa Gerreria area. The 284-space car park is saba's first on the Balearic Islands. ONEtoONE Capital Partners acted as advisor.

The car park has an underground level, separate entrance and exit ramps, and four pedestrian accesses equipped with automatic ticket machines. The facility is consistent with saba's objective of providing a quality service to all its customers, based on the company's policy of prioritising innovation, applying new technologies and considering car parks as a fundamental element for mobility.

The car park was opened in 2006 following the introduction of the Plan Especial de Reforma Interior (PERI) in the Sa Gerreria area, in the very heart of Palma, and which has involved the construction of 300 homes and 5,000 m2 of space for commercial, restaurant and office use.

Plaça Porta Sant Antoni is located in the old part of the city, at the junction of the avenues, and two other roads - Inca and Manacor. Also nearby are the new court buildings, the Plaça Major, the Palma City Council building, and Carrer Sindicat - the city's main pedestrian and commercial area.
