The Acesa group saw profits rise by 9% in 2000, and invested more then 115,000
million pesetas in its expansion programme
TURNOVER TOTALLED 91,440 MILLION PESETAS, AN INCREASE OF 16% OVER 1999
- Group net profits rose by 9% to 27,081 million pesetas.
- Acesa made investments of 115,000 million pesetas over the course of the year
2000, aimed at consolidating the Group's expansion and diversification strategy.
The principal investments made in the year were the stake taken in Autostrade
(Italy), the purchase of GCO (Argentina) and the creation of Acesa Telecom (with
the purchase of Tradia and the stake in Xfera).
- Traffic on Acesa's motorway network increased by an average of 9.4% in 2000.
- Furthermore, 2000 saw important Group activities in the telecommunications,
car parking and logistics services industries.
